Welcome to the 2009 edition of the Manufacturers Directory! The information within this directory was collected by Red Deer Regional Economic Development (RDRED), a strategic alliance between Red Deer County, Red Deer Chamber of Commerce, Red Deer College and The City of Red Deer.

The Manufacturers Directory encourages economic development in the Red Deer Region by providing information to new, current and prospective businesses regarding the products that are made within the region. The directory allows companies to research potential suppliers within the region to develop an optimal supply chain and to create import replacement opportunities.

RDRED uses the Manufacturers Directory to create awareness of the robust manufacturing sector within the region. Each year, the Manufacturers Directory is circulated to provincial, federal and International Trade Commissionaires, and posted to the RedDeerCorridor.com site to promote the Red Deer Region’s local manufacturing industry. By connecting with International Trade Commissionaires and businesses in the global market, our local companies are able to develop and diversify their markets by exporting international.

This directory is set up in three easy ways to use.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)
NAICS is a six-digit classification code that was developed to provide a uniform industry-wide classification system to record statistical information of all economic activities within Canada, USA and Mexico. Within this directory, only the first four-digits of the NAICS code are used. The four-digit NAICS codes are listed in the Table of Contents followed by the description of each category.

Subject
Within the Table of Contents, NAICS codes have been separated into subjects. The subjects are listed in bold at the beginning of each grouping.

Alphabetical Company Index
An alphabetical index of all Red Deer Region’s Manufacturers can be found at the end of the directory.

2007 Manufacturing Survey Results
RDRED will update the Manufacturers Survey in fall of 2009 with the results being released in early 2010.
